We are currently in search of a Land Survey Operations Manager to oversee various initiatives within our Western Market.

The Land Survey Operations Manager will be tasked with comprehending and articulating project parameters, supervising multiple projects and team members, mentoring and training staff, and ensuring the delivery of all land survey documentation and outputs in alignment with the role's expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop Scopes of Work, Fee Estimates, and Manage Projects
  • Engage directly with Clients
  • Create survey legal descriptions and plats/exhibits for boundary surveys, subdivisions, or easements
  • Experience in conducting ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys
  • Perform computations for construction layout and subdivisions
  • Calculate roadway right-of-way and property boundaries
  • Conduct QA/QC on field data, import, analyze, and adjust survey field data.
  • Prepare for fieldwork and schedule accordingly
  • Draft budgets and proposals for clients. Communicate project budgets and timelines to team members to ensure project profitability and adherence to milestone dates.
  • Research historical survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to gather data necessary for field surveys.
  • Conduct record research at courthouses as required
  • Execute fieldwork as necessary
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science or Associate of Science in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related degree preferred
  • Registered Surveyor (PS)
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills to recognize, prioritize, and meet critical deadlines
  • Exhibits a robust work ethic and enthusiasm for learning and development opportunities
  • Proficient in Civil 3D, Carlson, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with RTK GPS, Robotics total station, laser scanner, Trimble Access Data Collectors, and Trimble Business Center
