Job Summary

The Nurse (RN or BSN) is a vital member of the MCHS Family of Services team, responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our clients. As an onsite medical practitioner, you will be the primary point of contact for medical services, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide preventive medical and health services to clients
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement medical care plans
  • Identify problems and provide care or referrals as needed
  • Coordinate the implementation and administration of medical services
  • Ensure proper care and medical treatment of all clients in the agency's care
  • Administer medications, immunizations, and monitor MCIR compliance
  • Maintain accurate, detailed medical reports and records for all clients
  • Work with community agencies to ensure medical needs are met for all youth in MCHS community programs
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and lab work
  • Train agency staff on medical policies and procedures, CPR, First Aid, and medication
Requirements
  • B.S.N. (bachelors of science in nursing) or Registered Nurse with a minimum of five (5) years' experience working with children and adolescents
  • Qualified to practice as a Professional Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan and hold an unrestricted license
  • National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) passed
  • Certified in AED/CPR and First Aid
