Job Summary

The Nurse (RN or BSN) is a vital member of the MCHS Family of Services team, responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our clients. As an onsite medical practitioner, you will be the primary point of contact for medical services, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide preventive medical and health services to clients, including developing and implementing medical care plans.
  • Identify problems and provide care or referrals as needed, ensuring that clients receive timely and effective medical attention.
  • Coordinate the implementation and administration of medical services, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and lab work.
  • Ensure proper care and medical treatment of all clients in the agency's care, including administering medications and immunizations.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all clients, both residential and community programs.
  • Work as a medical liaison with community agencies to ensure that medical needs are met for all youth in MCHS community programs.
Requirements
  • B.S.N. (bachelors of science in nursing) or Registered Nurse with a minimum of five (5) years' experience working with children and adolescents.
  • Qualified to practice as a Professional Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan and hold an unrestricted license.
  • National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) passed.
  • Certified in AED/CPR and First Aid.
