We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at MCHS Family of Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our clients, developing and implementing medical care plans, and ensuring the overall well-being of our youth in care.
Key Responsibilities- Medical Care Provision: Provide preventive medical and health services to our clients, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, and medication management.
- Medical Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all clients in our care, including residential and community programs.
- Collaboration with Community Agencies: Work with community agencies to ensure that medical needs are met for all youth in our community programs.
- Medication Management: Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and lab work for medication assessments and physicals, and coordinate and oversee all prescription medication for youth in our care.
- Staff Training and Development: Train agency staff on medical policies and procedures, CPR, First Aid, and medication management.
- Education and Experience: B.S.N. (bachelors of science in nursing) or Registered Nurse with a minimum of five (5) years' experience working with children and adolescents.
- Licensure and Certification: Qualified to practice as a Professional Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan and hold an unrestricted license, National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) passed, and Certified in AED/CPR and First Aid.
