Job Title: Tax Accounting & Compliance Intern

Chemours is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Accounting & Compliance Intern to join our Tax Department team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the tax compliance process, conducting research on domestic and international tax planning issues, and analyzing data to prepare federal, state, and local tax returns.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research on domestic and international tax planning issues
  • Collect and analyze data for tax return preparation
  • Build data analytics related to US and total company ETR and cash taxes
  • Calculate components of quarterly income tax calculations for SEC filings
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects, including transfer pricing documentation, US federal, state, and local notice tracking, and SOX documentation
Requirements:
  • Current enrollment at an accredited university as a sophomore or above
  • Pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3.2 GPA or above
  • Previous internship or co-op experience in tax and/or accounting
  • Experience with OneSource tax software and/or SAP
  • Familiarity with data analytics software (Power BI, etc.)
