Job Summary:
TT&E Iron & Metal, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Shredder Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and production of our metal shredder and downstream operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supervising employees, maintenance, and production in a scrap handling or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the maintenance and production activities of the metal shredder and downstream operations.
- Manage and train a team of employees to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the shredder and related equipment.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with conveyor systems, heavy equipment, and other metal processing equipment.
- Perform routine and technical maintenance and repairs on conveyor and metal processing equipment.
- Lead training sessions on safety standards and procedures for employees.
- Collaborate with the Shredder Manager to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and regulations.
Requirements:
- Three years of experience supervising employees in a similar scrap handling or manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with the operation and maintenance of shredders and material handling equipment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to motivate and supervise employees.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Welding and cutting skills with oxyfuel equipment preferred.
