Housing Rights Project Paralegal

Queens Legal Services (QLS) is seeking a full-time Paralegal to support our Housing Rights Project. The successful candidate will assist in representing clients, conducting eligibility screenings, and entering client information into databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting eligibility screenings and gathering demographic data
  • Entering and tracking client information in databases
  • Coordinating follow-up services and gathering documents
  • Providing information and referrals under the supervision of an attorney
  • Maintaining client-related files and using language-assistance resources

Requirements:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Detail-oriented and strong interviewing, writing, and communication skills
  • Experience working with low-income communities and communities of color
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and ability to learn additional software
