This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in research and development. You will be introduced to the type of projects encountered during graduate research training and lead to an understanding of the planning, discipline, and teamwork involved in the pursuit of basic answers to current questions in the biological sciences. In addition to laboratory experience, you will participate in professional development activities including weekly workshops and seminars.
The core job functions of this position include performing literature research, compiling reference and statistical data into standard formats, analyzing and presenting data and information in written, oral or graphical forms, documenting experiment results and drawing tentative conclusions, preparing and conducting literature reviews on proposed topics, maintaining accurate records of research protocols documentation, participating in the preparation of research papers and abstracts, coordinating database management, performing special projects and assignments in a timely fashion, and adhering to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
To be eligible for this position, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent, minimum one year of relevant experience, and skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data, ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems, and ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
