Research Assistant 3 Position

The University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Assistant 3 to join our team at the Soffer Clinical Research Center in Miami. As a key member of our research team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing new and existing public education programs, while demonstrating a high level of professionalism and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement research experiments, adhering to research protocols to ensure high-quality scientific results in support of project goals.
- Participate in assessing the feasibility of implementing innovations and assessing data trends to develop reports and presentations.
- Support the initiation of new research by reviewing and synthesizing literature, overseeing inventory of supplies and equipment, and placing orders in a timely fashion.
- Assist in the preparation of scientific papers, reports, and manuscripts, adhering to University and unit-level policies and procedures, and safeguarding University assets.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with opioid use disorder, preferably lived experience, or related preferred.
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships, complete assignments accurately, and analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Commitment to the University's core values, ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment, and proficiency in computer software (i.e., Microsoft Office).
- Responsible for conducting outreach, education, and engagement activities to identify and recruit study participants.
- Responsible for tracking study participants after enrollment and maintaining high rates of retention in research follow-up assessments.
- Participate in outreach data collection activities.
- Responsible for engaging in outreach at community and social service agencies, such as food distribution sites, needle and syringe exchange programs, health clinics, hospital emergency departments, and health fairs or other community events.
- Participate in all required in-person and remote trainings and meetings.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and protocol adherence.
