Job Summary

Spectra InfoSystems is seeking a highly skilled Facility Operations Manager to lead our maintenance team and drive operational excellence. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Strategy:
    • Lead and mentor the maintenance team to ensure optimal performance and promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.
    • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime and reliability, in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Champion a safety-first culture by ensuring all maintenance activities align with company safety standards and comply with all relevant regulations.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Asset Management:
    • Oversee the maintenance of all manufacturing equipment and systems to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
    • Develop and manage a preventive and predictive maintenance program to minimize downtime and reduce costs.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Leverage process improvement methodologies to drive efficiency gains, reduce conversion costs, and enhance overall plant performance year over year.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
    • Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring efficient use of resources while controlling costs.
    • Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and maintenance supplies to ensure availability and reduce lead times.
  • Culture and Workforce Engagement:
    • Actively engage with the workforce to promote a positive company culture, encouraging open communication and feedback within the team.
    • Foster a learning environment by supporting training and professional development opportunities for maintenance staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance management within a food manufacturing or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, equipment troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to food safety and manufacturing standards.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive organizational culture change.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
