About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Senior Accounting Supervisor to oversee our financial operations within the Real Estate and Investment Management sector. This permanent position offers a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility between remote and on-site work. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing the company's accounting functions, focusing on fund accounting, asset management, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and lead the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial closing processes.
- Oversee the management of investor capital accounts, ensuring precise recording and reporting of all transactions.
- Supervise all facets of fund accounting, including reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit processes.
- Manage foreign exchange entries while ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.
- Establish and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency of accounting operations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to devise financial strategies and provide insights based on financial analysis.
- Monitor and manage the company's assets, ensuring accurate valuation and accounting.
- Prepare and deliver financial reports to management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with all tax filings and reporting obligations at local, state, and federal levels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; advanced degrees are preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years in an accounting management capacity, ideally within the Mortgage sector.
- Demonstrated experience in fund accounting, asset management, and investor capital account maintenance.
- Strong understanding of foreign exchange transactions and financial closing procedures.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proven leadership abilities to effectively manage a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting financial data clearly.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
