JOB OVERVIEW:

Additionally, the Systems Engineer is tasked with upholding security, backup, and redundancy protocols.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 6 years in IT Operations with progressive responsibilities, including at least 3 years in an Administrator capacity.
  • Strong and demonstrable knowledge of computer systems, storage solutions, backup processes, network and system administration, firewalls, and scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with VMware and virtualization technologies.
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems.
  • Understanding of networking hardware such as switches and routers.
  • Comprehension of network protocols, architecture, and systems integration.
  • Awareness of methodologies and best practices prevalent in the information security sector.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

  • Guarantees the seamless operation of servers, storage, backup, networking, and telecommunications infrastructure by monitoring system performance and proactively resolving issues, both on-premises and in cloud environments.
  • Responsible for group policy management, Azure Active Directory, Active Directory, Exchange O365MFA, IT security, and Azure administration.
  • Ensures that daily operations related to Information Technology Client Services and Network Services align with departmental objectives.
  • Maintains the Technology Recovery Plan (TRP) documentation, including necessary training, testing, and practice drills. Plans, develops, and executes a continuity strategy encompassing disaster management, business resumption, and technology recovery prioritization. Constructs detailed system designs, specifying hardware and software requirements, interfaces, and data flows.
  • Ensures all system interfaces are clearly defined and compatible, promoting effective communication between subsystems. Monitors and sustains the system throughout its operational lifespan, including performing updates and upgrades as required.
