Position: Logistics and Production Support Specialist


Job Overview


Summary: Hera Technologies, LLC is on the lookout for a dedicated Logistics and Production Support Specialist to become a vital part of our team in a dynamic and collaborative setting. This role involves overseeing various projects from inception to completion, ensuring smooth communication between the production floor and management regarding scheduling, inventory, and quality control. The selected candidate will take charge of activities carried out by diverse, cross-functional teams.


Classification: Nonexempt Hourly

Employment Type: Full-time

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm; Weekend work may be required as needed.

Compensation: $17.00 to $20.00 USD per hour based on experience.

Reports to: Production Lead


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain organized and labeled inventory, ensuring tracking of shelf-life items with available resources.
  • Ensure cleanliness standards are upheld within the department, with audits conducted as deemed necessary by management.
  • Delegate daily tasks within the production department, including personal responsibilities.
  • Achieve shipping targets as outlined by the Production Manager.
  • Assist in coordinating daily production flow, including scheduling and execution based on customer requirements.
  • Provide accurate daily updates on production status, schedules, and corrective actions taken to address issues.
  • Utilize electronic communication tools effectively to relay department metrics.
  • Ensure daily compliance with traveler documentation.
  • Support the Production Manager and Director of Operations in developing and assessing key performance indicators: safety, quality, timely delivery, and efficiency.
  • Manage and utilize relevant JobBoss modules effectively.
  • Guide shop floor personnel in achieving company objectives.
  • Participate in shop floor activities as needed, including part production and other support tasks.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and their implementation.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental guidelines while supporting 5-S practices.
  • Verify that all tasks are completed accurately throughout the production process, taking action to resolve discrepancies.
  • Act as an ambassador for Hera's vision, fostering a culture of discipline and excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing production control within an aerospace job shop environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to project changes.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in PC applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Effective communication skills in both oral and written English.
  • Willingness to learn and perform cross-functional operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with JobBoss ERP software is advantageous.
  • Experience in production and inventory control, including expediting and material handling, is a plus.

  • Position requires spending a significant portion of the day on foot, adhering to strict safety protocols. Safety glasses, hearing protection, and hard-toe footwear are mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs safely.
  • Capability to navigate the warehouse and utilize hands and arms for various tasks.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching may be required.
  • Effective communication abilities, including listening and speaking.
  • Vision requirements include near and distant vision, color perception, and depth perception.
