Job Title: Plumbing Helper

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plumbing Helper to join our team at Downs Plumbing Company.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist with residential and commercial plumbing projects, including installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems and related materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with plumbing installation and repair on residential and commercial projects
  • Install hangers and supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures
  • Use basic hand tools and read tape measures to ensure accurate measurements
  • Assist with the installation of various piping materials, including copper, steel, cast iron, PVC, CPVC, PEX, and others
  • Work at heights using ladders, man lifts, and other equipment
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of plumbing experience preferred, but not required
  • Valid driver's license in applicable state
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools and ability to read tape measures
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, to perform routine measurements and calculations

  • Initiative, self-motivation, and a willingness to learn
  • Comply with and promote company safety policies
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and English language skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Regular and punctual attendance, with the ability to work overtime if needed
  • Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop, and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to pass a full background screening and MVR check
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly wage, starting at $12.00+/hr. based on qualifications and experience
