Position Details:
This role involves representing both domestic and international insurance providers in complex professional lines insurance matters.

The ideal candidate may not have prior experience in this specific area but should possess strong analytical skills, excellent writing abilities, and a willingness to learn. Successful candidates often come from diverse backgrounds, including commercial litigation, corporate law, private practice, or public service.

As an Associate, you will collaborate directly with partners and clients, progressively taking on more responsibilities and developing the skills needed to manage intricate cases independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing third-party insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions, and advising insurance clients on coverage matters;
  • Communicating with clients, opposing legal representatives, and other stakeholders;
  • Overseeing and assessing claims, including securities class actions and other litigation involving insured parties;
  • Conducting thorough legal research and analysis, and preparing detailed memoranda;
  • Assisting in federal and state litigation, including actions initiated by insurer clients and defending against claims from policyholders;
  • Participating in mediations as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Licensed to practice in Ohio (or plans to obtain licensure);
  • Strong academic background;
  • Exceptional legal writing and communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities;
  • Robust work ethic and a commitment to ownership of responsibilities;
  • Capability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments effectively.
