Cybersecurity Incident Response Specialist

ASRC Federal Holding Company is seeking a Cybersecurity Incident Response Specialist to enhance our Cybersecurity Support Services. This role is pivotal in managing the Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT), which is tasked with the containment, response, and elimination of cybersecurity threats and malicious activities. The specialist will contribute to the development and enhancement of incident response capabilities, engage in critical investigations, and provide insights for incident response improvements while preparing detailed reports for management.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough technical investigations into cybersecurity incidents and events.
- Assess the nature, scope, and origin of incidents, including performing root cause analysis.
- Identify and implement corrective measures to contain, eradicate, and recover from incidents.
- Document incident response actions, recommendations, and remediation efforts; prepare incident reports as necessary; contribute to weekly summaries of incidents.
- Develop and maintain incident response Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in line with industry standards and best practices.
- Be available to respond to and investigate cyber events outside of regular business hours.

Qualifications
Required Certifications
- Possession of an active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher, with at least one of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, CASP+CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, or CCSP.
- Active DoD 8570 CSSP Incident Responder certification is preferred, with at least one of the following certifications: CEH, CFR, CCNA Cyber Ops, CHFI, CySA+, GCFA, GCIH, SCYBER, or PenTest+.
- Understanding of Incident Response Handling Procedures (NIST SP).
- Familiarity with cyber adversary tactics and frameworks (such as ATT&CK and D3FEND).
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years in Information Technology or Information Security.
- At least 3 years of experience in Cybersecurity Incident Response.
- Experience leading a CIRT is advantageous.
- The selected candidate must possess an active DoD Secret clearance and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
