Bakery Department Lead

As a Bakery Department Lead at Sam's Club, you will be responsible for driving sales in your area and supervising a team of hourly associates to deliver exceptional customer service and high-quality products to our members. You will model expertise in bakery operations and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member's expectations.
Key Responsibilities:- Be a Team Leader: Supervise the team within the bakery department to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club by communicating the goals of the department, executing company programs, and adhering to policies.
- Be an Expert: Maintain an in-depth knowledge of business on the floor, backroom operations, product specifications, and seasonality of product by ensuring the bakery department meets company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory, equipment usage, production, safety, sanitation, and compliance.
- Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement.
- Be an Owner: Drive business results, ensuring commitment to operational excellence, maintaining a neat, clean, and safe work area in the bakery department, and ensuring appropriate planning and staffing for weekly bakery volumes.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Teach and train the team by identifying training needs, providing and developing necessary skills to deliver high-quality products to the members, and encouraging career growth for team members.

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 to $31.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
Minimum qualifications include 6 months of experience in a bakery production department or 6 months of supervising a team. Preferred qualifications include bakery production, supervising associates, and food handler certification.
