Role Responsibilities:
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in patient care by:

  • Taking vital signs and collecting lab specimens.
  • Performing EKGs and administering injections as directed.
  • Conducting X-ray services per provider orders and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Documenting patient history in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Assisting with patient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Maintaining logs for lab work and keeping patients informed about clinic operations.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with EHR systems is advantageous.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • A valid General Medical Radiology Technician (GMRT), Limited Medical Radiology Technician (LMRT), or Non-Registered Technician (NCT) license.
  • Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
  • Current BLS Certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to obtain necessary federal certifications within the specified timeframe.
