Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Analyst Applications to join our IT Food Safety Quality Assurance & Environmental, Health and Safety Business Solutions Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the implementation of productivity projects across facilities, ensuring the successful initiation, follow-through, and completion of tasks related to IT Business Analyst to meet timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the IT partner to the business, aligning technology to business goals and delivering best-in-class technology solutions.
  • Cultivate strong business relationships by demonstrating an understanding of related processes, requirements, systems, and terminology.
  • Partner with stakeholder teams across business units to document necessary business cases to frame opportunities, benefits, and risks to decide on a course of action.
  • Stay current with stakeholder needs and strategies by developing a communication process utilizing formal and informal methods to communicate updates and findings and facilitating project meetings and presentations to all types of diverse audiences.
  • Work with business and IT Leadership to develop IT strategies and technical roadmaps.
  • Coordinate, influence, and gain alignment of cross-functional business & IT teams to develop scalable and strategic solutions that meet business needs.
  • Assist in the project delivery of multi-business technology solutions and must have significant exposure to and demonstrated proficiency in the areas of analysis, design, software requirements, configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • Partner with software vendors on functionality roadmaps and critical issues to ensure vendor solutions are aligned with business roadmaps and initiatives.
  • Maintain awareness of best practices including processes and technology and identify opportunities for improvement of existing functionality.
  • Analyze and interpret information technology proposals and evaluate and develop alternative implementation plans.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings & organize/deliver information to audiences at all levels within the company, including executive stakeholders.
  • Develop strong working relationships with business partners, peer IT teams and vendors.
Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, other technical areas or equivalent experience.

Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in Information Systems or related area with proven experience as a business analyst.
  • 2+ years of experience in gathering and documenting requirements.
  • 2+ years of business process modeling experience preferred.
  • Computer skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Communication skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to tell the "story".
  • Experience communicating technical information to stakeholders, peers, management and non-technical team members.
  • Experience communicating functional requirements to highly technical team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across the team with a growth mindset propensity towards action and learning.
  • Ability to work independently and set priorities based on key milestones, impact to strategic initiatives and high-level direction of management.
  • Ability to handle initiatives in a high-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with hardware tools and software communicating platforms.
  • Be able to work closely with a project team and external vendors.
  • Experience with safety, environmental/health, SFQA.
