Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse III to join our team at Tewksbury Hospital. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients, supervising staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients, following professional, hospital, and departmental standards.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care.
  • Assume charge nurse responsibilities, ensuring continuity of care and making decisions in the absence of a higher-grade nurse.
  • Provide psychosocial support to patients, promoting a therapeutic milieu and facilitating recovery.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Current and valid registration as a professional nurse under the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
  • At least one year of full-time or equivalent part-time experience as a registered nurse in a recognized hospital, clinic, or medical facility.
  • Six months of experience in a supervisory, administrative, or managerial capacity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Psychiatric nursing experience.
  • Bilingual or multilingual fluency.
