Job Overview

Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee the design and implementation of capital and special projects in the public Right of Way. This is a key role that requires strong leadership and project management skills, as well as expertise in engineering and transit project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage consultant teams, construction contractors, and other professional disciplines to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and change orders.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including partners, government agencies, and the public, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with current FTA guidelines and project management best practices.
  • Represent COTA in public forums and meetings, communicating project information and progress to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, or a related field, and six years of experience in project management and engineering.
  • Professional Engineer/Architecture license(s) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software, AutoCAD, and other project management tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, conceptual drawings, and maps, and prepare clear and concise reports and presentations.
