Role Summary: The Test Engineering division is responsible for the design and production of equipment utilized in the creation and assembly of tactical hardware. We are looking for individuals in the early stages of their careers who will be involved in the fabrication of electronic and electromechanical assemblies (and sub-assemblies) according to Engineering specifications. The role involves placing and soldering components onto circuit boards and sub-assemblies. Additionally, the candidate will be tasked with the creation of wiring harnesses, which includes connector pinning and de-pinning, as well as the application of mounting hardware. The fabrication of metal enclosures and other sheet metal components is also a critical aspect of this position. Furthermore, these lower-level assemblies will be integrated into single or multi-bay cabinet assemblies for subsequent delivery to Engineering or Manufacturing Production teams. This role offers the chance to contribute as an individual in a collaborative team setting, working alongside Engineers and other members of the Fabrication team, including fellow Fabricators, Draftsmen, Procurement specialists, and Quality Inspectors. Daily responsibilities will encompass a dynamic fabrication environment, as well as utilizing various computer-based systems to monitor job status, Quality Inspections, and Engineering modifications.

Essential Qualifications:

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:


Minimum of 3 years of experience in fabrication environments, which may include cable and harness assembly, SMT board fabrication, or maintenance of military design products.

Must possess prior certification in soldering and harness capabilities in accordance with MIL STD standards.

Ability to fabricate electrical and mechanical test equipment designs based on blueprints, schematics, bills of materials, and engineering practices manuals.

Must be able to effectively communicate design issues and process requirements to management and design engineers.

Remote Work Capability: Onsite Full-time: The responsibilities associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule: Lockheed Martin offers a variety of flexible work schedules to accommodate our employees. Schedules may range from a standard 40-hour work week to condensed formats, providing additional time away from the office, in addition to our Paid Time Off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour days, with 3 days off each week.
