Role Summary: The Test Engineering division is responsible for the design and creation of equipment utilized in the development and production of tactical hardware. We are looking for early-career professionals who will be engaged in the assembly of electronic and electromechanical components (and sub-components) according to engineering specifications. The role involves the following tasks:
  • Assembling and soldering components onto circuit boards and sub-assemblies.
  • Creating wiring harnesses, which includes connector pinning and de-pinning, as well as applying mounting hardware.
  • Fabricating metal enclosures and performing sheet metal assembly.
  • Building single or multi-bay cabinet assemblies for delivery to engineering or manufacturing production areas.

This position offers the chance to work as an individual contributor within a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities will include working closely with engineers and other members of the fabrication team, such as fellow fabricators, draftsmen, procurement specialists, and quality inspectors. Daily tasks will not only involve a dynamic fabrication setting but also the use of various computer-based programs to track job status, quality inspections, and engineering modifications.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in fabrication environments, including cable and harness assembly, SMT board fabrication, or maintenance of military design products.
  • Certification in soldering and harness assembly to MIL STD standards.
  • Ability to fabricate electrical and mechanical test equipment designs based on blueprints, schematics, bills of materials, and engineering guidelines.
  • Effective communication skills to address design or process issues with management and design engineers.
