Job Summary

Tufco L.P. is seeking a skilled Wet Process Technician to join our manufacturing team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of assigned blending responsibilities and equipment daily.

Key Responsibilities
  • Blending Operations: Assist with blending in 3 separate tank farms, ensuring quality products are produced in the appropriate quantity and within established guidelines.
  • Quality Control: Understand and perform to the Tufco LP Quality System, Customer's Quality Process Standards, and/or Specification Requirements.
  • Batch Concentrate: Batch concentrate as required.
  • Daily Process Rounds: Perform daily process rounds to ensure smooth operation.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot Processing System problems as needed, take appropriate corrective actions, and know when to call for assistance.
  • Wastewater Treatment: Treat wastewater streams.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and sanitize process equipment and blending areas.
  • Communication: Perform written and verbal communication with Quality Assurance and Manufacturing personnel using process measurement data recorded in Quality Windows and Out-of-Specification (OOS) variable/attribute testing when necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or GED required.
  • Skills: Proficiency with computers and calculators.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience using Microsoft Office products and SPC programs.
  • Chemical Handling: Experience in a chemical handling capacity.
  • Forklift Operation: Experience operating a forklift.
Work Requirements
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as a productive leader/member of the manufacturing team.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Judgment/Decision Making: Skilled in math and judgment/decision making.
  • Quality Awareness: Quality awareness and excellent safety record.
