We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic I to join our team at Green Bay Dressed Beef Processing, an American Foods Group company. As a Maintenance Mechanic I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility's machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist higher-level mechanics with duties, including servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, and equipment.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery to ensure optimal performance and meet daily production demands.
- Conduct conveyor belt repair and replacement, as well as turn off and lock out/tag out equipment when not in use.
- Complete required paperwork, including maintenance logs and repair records.
- Notify lead or supervisor of any malfunctions or repairs needed.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures and conditions, including warm, hot, humid, cold, wet, or slippery surfaces at varied heights.
- Hours may vary based on production needs, and extended hours may be required.
- Must be able to successfully complete training in safety, SQF, GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, and food defense.
- Prior maintenance experience.
- Prior production experience.
- Work history in the last 12 months.
