Job Title: Capstone Visiting Professor

Chamberlain University is seeking a highly qualified Capstone Visiting Professor to join our team. As a Visiting Professor, you will have the opportunity to teach and mentor nursing students in a clinical setting, while also contributing to the development of our curriculum and programs.

Job Summary:

The Capstone Visiting Professor will be responsible for implementing the College's philosophy, curriculum, and program outcomes through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession. This role requires a strong background in nursing education, clinical experience, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver clinical experiences for nursing students, providing direct supervision and evaluation of student performance.
  • Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student knowledge, skill competency, and individual learning needs.
  • Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students on their level of performance based on course objectives.
  • Assume responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching assignments.
  • Collaborate with course coordinators and other faculty members to ensure seamless delivery of curriculum.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in nursing education and clinical care.
Qualifications:
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • An unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Alabama.
  • At least two years of professional experience within the last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse.
  • Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional subject matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Chamberlain University offers a competitive compensation package, including a base rate of $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience.
