Job Summary:The Capstone Visiting Professor will be responsible for implementing the College's philosophy, curriculum, and program outcomes through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession. This role requires a strong passion for nursing education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and clinical partners.
Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver clinical experiences for nursing students, providing direct supervision and evaluation of their performance.
- Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student knowledge, skill competency, and individual learning needs.
- Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students on their level of performance based on course objectives.
- Assume responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching assignments.
- Keep course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues and concerns.
- A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
- An unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Alabama.
- At least two years of professional experience within the last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse.
- Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required.
Chamberlain University offers a competitive compensation package, including a rate of $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment, depending on the candidate's education and experience.
