We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist to join our team at Tufts Medical Center. As a key member of our electrophysiology lab, you will play a critical role in preparing patients for procedures, setting up and operating equipment, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for electrophysiology procedures, including prepping access sites and draping patients in a sterile environment.
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot electrophysiology equipment, ensuring proper functioning during procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Accurately document procedure charges, supply charges, and radiation dose.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives to improve the efficiency and safety of EP procedures.
- Bachelor's degree or degree from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology with Radiologic Technologist (RT) Certification.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification within six months of hire.
- Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification preferred.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to hazardous chemicals, blood, and bodily fluids. You must be able to wear a protective lead apron for extended periods and be willing to participate in late shift rotations as required.
