About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide personalized care and support, addressing the physical, emotional, and social needs of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment and Care Planning
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physiologic health status
- Develop individualized care plans that address patients' unique needs and goals
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
- Clinical Skills and Procedures
- Perform decubitus care and apply simple dressings using principles of aseptic technique
- Administer medications correctly and safely, adhering to facility protocols
- Provide wound care and manage skin integrity
- Patient Education and Support
- Deliver effective patient education on disease management, medication use, and healthy lifestyle habits
- Support patients and their families through the healing process, addressing emotional and social needs
- Team Collaboration and Communication
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
- A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred
- Experience in Med/Surg, preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), preferred
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and more.
