Position Overview
Under general oversight, this role leverages expertise gained through education and experience to oversee models, forecasts, and assessments of the organization's assets, liabilities, capital, and liquidity.
Key Responsibilities
This position involves comprehensive analysis on projects that encompass various topics including liquidity risk management, capital oversight, interest rate risk assessment, and strategic balance sheet planning.
- Contributes to the development of reports for the Board of Directors, alongside funding and liquidity evaluations, regulatory capital analyses, and various financial planning and analysis tasks related to capital and liquidity.
- Assists Finance leadership in strategizing and executing initiatives aimed at enhancing capital and liquidity capabilities.
- Engages with colleagues and management across all organizational levels.
- Participates in meetings and prepares presentations for executive leadership.
- Establishes and nurtures essential relationships with stakeholders, fostering a culture of collaboration and support.
- Stays informed on evolving regulatory requirements pertaining to capital and liquidity.
- Proposes process enhancements to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
- Supports the preparation of ad hoc financial and economic analyses and reports for the Board of Directors and other management committees.
- Undertakes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills
Familiarity with:
- The organization's operational structure, policies, mission, and strategic objectives.
- Financial analysis principles, practices, and procedures.
- Basic concepts of financial markets.
- Financial modeling and risk management.
- Understanding of capital and liquidity models is essential.
Ability to:
- Collect and analyze financial data to identify key trends, risks, and insights. Evaluate issues, consider alternatives, develop proposals, and present recommendations.
- Utilize Excel for financial modeling, data manipulation, and creating financial forecasts.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
- Prioritize and meet critical deadlines.
- Organize, manage, and track multiple tasks with frequently changing priorities in a dynamic work environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Pay attention to detail, focusing on precision and accuracy.
- Collaborate with other functional areas to achieve objectives.
- Convey information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documentation.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, preferably with a concentration in Finance or a related field, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
- OR any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
- Experience with balance sheet modeling software is advantageous.
- No specific licenses required. An MBA, CFA, or progress towards such qualifications is a plus.
