The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our IT team. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will analyze complex projects that involve multiple systems, new technologies, growth, and risk. You will work across an entire program or portfolio, integrating across multiple business processes and client areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead business analysis for the most complex projects
  • Identify and recommend tools and techniques to lead the team through the process
  • Provide recommendations to users on appropriate solutions
  • Present and facilitate client and senior/executive level management meetings
  • Lead redesign efforts that may span multiple areas of the organization
  • Perform risk assessment and develop a contingency plan with possible alternatives and recommendations when unanticipated situations arise
  • Customize presentations to the interests of the audience
  • Lead the business analysis phase of large projects, often providing direction to more junior team members
  • Develop business cases and present to leadership
  • Recommend investments in new tools or the use of new processes/methodologies
  • Advise management on budgetary issues and negotiate a successful resolution
  • Contribute to strategic growth plans for the IT organization
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of a variety of development methods (e.g., agile and waterfall) and their possible effects for a project
  • Understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • Ability to identify new developments in business analysis tools and techniques
  • Ability to transform major business change projects into strategic level systems solutions
  • Ability to identify performance measures to track the benefits of a project or service
  • Ability to maintain an understanding of business plans and strategies of competitors and of the industry in general
