Parks Operations Administrative Analyst I/II Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the City of West Sacramento's Parks and Recreation Department as an Administrative Analyst I/II. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our department, focusing on parks operations and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and manage electronic work order systems for repairs, maintenance, and preventative services schedules.
  • Develop, monitor, and execute equipment repair and replacement plans, ensuring adequate equipment, supply, uniform, and PPE inventory.
  • Maintain and coordinate vehicle and fleet maintenance service schedules, equipment key and fuel program, and coordinate regular safety inspections, field audits, and safety training.
  • Coordinate with local sports organizations, special events, volunteers, and park rentals to ensure park operations support.
  • Conduct regular parks, trails, and open space site visits to analyze and provide site improvement recommendations and project status updates.
  • Assist with vendor and contract coordination, including request for proposals, procurement, selection, and monitoring.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints, and provide specialized customer service.
  • Procure price quotes, create purchase orders, process invoices, and credit card reconciliations, and monitor expenditures.
  • Assist with the hiring, onboarding, and scheduling of park operation staff, and may serve as a representative on committees and a liaison with program stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge and skill.
  • Typical way to obtain the required knowledge and skill: Administrative Analyst I - Sixty (60) college semester units, two (2) years of full-time experience in a private or public agency in the area of general administration, program promotion, or high-level clerical.
  • Administrative Analyst II - A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public administration, business administration, or related field, four (4) years of full-time increasingly responsible administrative and analytical experience in a private or public agency.
