Position Overview
Leidos is in search of a Senior Citrix Infrastructure Administrator to provide support for a significant enterprise IT contract within the Department of Defense (DOD). This role involves delivering operational assistance to clients across various geographic regions.

Key Responsibilities
The Administrator will:
- Offer operations and maintenance support for existing Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments across multiple enclaves.
- Facilitate the implementation of innovative solutions to enhance user experience and system reliability.
- Collaborate in a team-oriented environment to fulfill mission requirements for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct remote server administration for systems housed in offsite data centers.
- Provide Tier 3 operational support, swiftly identifying user-specific issues versus broader service outages related to Citrix technologies, including Citrix XenDesktop, Citrix XenApp, Citrix NetScaler, and Citrix StoreFront.
- Monitor the Citrix infrastructure to detect system anomalies proactively, ensuring service continuity by checking storage availability, network connectivity, and database health.
- Work closely with engineering teams to strategize future modernization initiatives that align with customer and administrator needs.
- Analyze network latency to address connectivity issues and enhance user experience.
- Implement architectural and version updates to maintain system operability and security.
- Oversee major system upgrades as per design specifications.
- Coordinate with Tier 2 and Tier 3 teams for testing and deployment of Group Policy changes.
- Execute periodic backups and restorations of servers.
- Assess desktop capacity to optimize the environment based on usage trends.
- Manage License and Certificate statuses, ensuring timely renewals and installations.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather data, analyze requirements, and develop solutions for incident tickets.
- Establish a comprehensive availability and capacity management framework utilizing lessons learned.
- Generate solutions for technical challenges.
- Provide detailed follow-up reports for root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives.
- Regularly review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for managed systems and services.
- Update operational and monitoring documentation for 24/7 IT support personnel.
- Mentor and train junior team members.

Basic Qualifications
- Proven experience in customer interaction for service inquiries and problem resolution.
- Background as a Tier 3 system administrator, proficient in desktop software applications and IT Service Management tools.
- In-depth knowledge of IC IT standards and best practices.
- Extensive familiarity with Citrix technologies, including XenDesktop, XenApp, NetScaler, and StoreFront.
- Significant experience with patching and upgrading methodologies for Citrix-based systems.
- Expertise in rapid testing, validation, and deployment of new baseline images.
- Proficient in conducting incident and trend analysis through log reviews and performance assessments.
- Experience in scripting and automation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in dynamic environments.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and support peers in enhancing processes and outcomes.
- Familiarity with support ticket management systems.
- Experience in mentoring or supervising others.
- Candidates must meet DoD IAT Level II certification requirements (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP).
- A minimum of a BS degree with 12-15 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 10-13 years of relevant experience is required. A Doctorate in a technical field is also acceptable.
- US Citizenship is mandatory.

Clearance Requirement
TS/SCI with Polygraph is required for this position or TS/SCI with a willingness to obtain a polygraph.

- Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA)
- ITIL Foundations Certification
