About the Role

We are seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri. As an Environmental Engineer, you will provide technical assistance and guidance for due diligence, investigation, remediation, impact assessment, and environmental permitting projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the development of processes and infrastructure relating to water supply, hazardous or solid waste disposal, air emission sources, pollution control, and preserving the quality of the environment by averting the contamination and degradation of air, water, and land resources.
  • Generate accurate and concise reports and documentation regarding field conditions, and assessing and advising on the short- and long-term risks to ecological and human health.
  • Ensure that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards.
Your Impact

You will collect, identify, and compile environmental data from samples of air, soil, water, sludge, and other matrices for projects, investigations, and surveys. You will also perform professional environmental engineering work and assist with conducting investigations and inspections of air emission sources, hazardous or solid waste facilities, water supply facilities, industrial and agricultural facilities, pollution sources and proposed and existing site conditions, water resources, and underground storage tanks to determine conformance with applicable rules, standards, and construction or operating permits.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Civil, Sanitary, Chemical, Industrial, Agricultural, or Public Health Engineering, or closely related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant post-education experience in environmental engineering.
  • Engineer in Training Certification.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and methods and their application to environmental and project work-related issues.
  • Ability to coordinate with agency regulators and understand requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Engineering.
  • Essential Professional Licensure/Certification.
  • 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR preferred.
