Job Title: Environmental Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Technician to join our team at The Doe Run Company. As an Environmental Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with all applicable environmental regulations and maintaining a safe and environmentally responsible work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct environmental sampling, including air, water, groundwater, and waste sampling, and record and certify data.
  • Oversee the handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
  • Provide assistance in the environmental management system through internal auditing, training, and technical site support.
  • Act as a site team liaison with site personnel to implement environmental compliance plans and protocols.
  • Maintain required records for all environmental permits and plans.
  • Complete tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS policies, procedures, and best practices.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate degree in environmental science, biological science, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a lab or outdoor setting preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database technology.
  • Basic skill in databases preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
