Sustainability Strategist

At Populous, we're committed to creating a better future for our clients and the environment. As a Sustainability Strategist, you'll play a key role in helping us achieve our sustainability goals. Your primary focus will be on providing comprehensive sustainability support to clients and project teams, from marketing through post-occupancy. You'll work closely with our team to develop and implement sustainable design strategies, ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of environmental responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate sustainable design charrettes and manage certification program scorecards and associated action items.
  • Provide technical guidance on various design strategies, including energy and daylighting simulations, materials selection, and life cycle (LCA) studies.
  • Coordinate final certification processes and support staff in their sustainability-related professional development.

Requirements for Success:
  • Strong relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of architectural building systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of sustainability, integrated design, and certification program management (LEED, LBC, Fitwel, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Autodesk, Revit.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture, interiors, or a related field from an accredited program.
  • LEED Accredited Professional with specialty.
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in architectural practice with prior experience in all phases of architectural projects.

Additional details:
  • Travel will be required.
  • Occasional overtime may be required.
