About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in delivering timely, compassionate care to patients of all ages presenting for emergency care. Our team provides a wide range of services, from treating broken bones to addressing life-threatening conditions such as heart attacks and strokes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triaging, assessing, and treating patients with emergency and life-threatening conditions
  • Administering medications in accordance with physician orders
  • Responding to and referring incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed
  • Coordinating and triaging incoming ambulance traffic
  • Managing care with primary ED attending
  • Utilizing the Emergency Severity Index 5-level triage algorithm
  • Responding to critical needs and serving as a resource nurse for trauma
  • Providing education to patients regarding their medications, procedures, and treatments
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross - PALS and ACLS certifications
