Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, triaging, assessing, and treating patients of all ages presenting for emergency care.
Responsibilities
- Document pertinent nursing notes to reflect changes in patient condition, transfers, and discharges.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
- Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed.
- Manage care with primary ED attending and coordinate and triage incoming ambulance traffic.
- Learn, understand, and use the Emergency Severity Index 5-level triage algorithm.
- Respond to critical needs and serve as a resource nurse for trauma.
- Educate patients regarding their medications, procedures, and treatments, providing support throughout their stay.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross - PALS and ACLS certification.
- 1 Year Experience Required.
