Registered Nurse (RN) - Infusion Therapy Specialist

NurseCore is actively seeking Registered Nurses (RN) with expertise in infusion therapy for our Specialty Staffing division.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualified candidates must demonstrate critical thinking abilities, sound judgment, and the capacity to operate independently in a dynamic environment. A minimum of one year of experience in infusion therapy and home health is preferred.
  • Deliver high-quality in-home care and infusion services as outlined by the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Educate patients on the administration and self-administration of specialty pharmacy infusion therapies and injectables for various medical conditions.
  • Skilled in accessing and maintaining SPC/PIV/Midlines, CVAD (PICC/Implanted Ports), SCIG, phlebotomy, and laboratory processing while adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to plan and implement nursing care, making informed clinical decisions regarding patient care. Regularly update clients/patients' Plans of Care, health changes, and related incidents.
  • Exhibit knowledge of age-specific variations in patient populations, including physiological and developmental differences.
  • Ensure patient safety by following all policies, procedures, and standards, including time management, supply management, productivity, and quality of service.
  • Willingness to travel within the designated geographic area. Flexibility to work alternate shifts on short notice and be available for on-call field visits as needed.
  • Administer CPR and other emergency procedures as required.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse license from the State Board of Nursing is required.
  • Preferred experience in home health, including assessments, wound care, medication management, and infusions.
  • At least two years of medical-surgical or critical care/ER experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of recent infusion experience is preferred.
  • Proof of current PPD and CPR certification (hands-on class required).
  • Successful completion of a skills assessment relevant to the areas of experience.
  • Experience in Rheumatology/Orthopedics is preferred.
