Job Summary

ICF is seeking a highly skilled Lead ServiceNow Developer to join our team. As a key member of our ServiceNow practice, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and configuring ServiceNow solutions for our clients. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and leadership skills to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, reliable, and high-performance ServiceNow solutions that meet both immediate project needs and long-term business goals.
Lead engagements with Solutions Architects and Business Analysts to understand functional requirements and translate them into effective ServiceNow configurations.
Configure and customize ServiceNow applications and modules to align with client needs and industry best practices.
Drive understanding of the business context in which the team is working and align technical decisions with client goals and objectives.
Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement ServiceNow solutions, including setting up workflows, business rules, user interfaces, and automation.
Encourage innovation within the development team and support the exploration of new technologies, methodologies, and processes that can enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop ServiceNow configuration test plans and validate functionality, data integrity, and user experience.
Develop and document data migration strategies and plans, and lead data migration activities from legacy systems to ServiceNow.
Design and document integration strategies and plans, and lead the integration of ServiceNow with other systems and applications.
Design and provide end-user training to ensure a smooth adoption of the implemented solution, and create detailed documentation of the configuration and customization for future reference.
Lead change management efforts, assist users during the transition period, address inquiries, and resolve issues promptly.
Identify potential project risks and devise strategies to mitigate them, considering factors such as security vulnerabilities, data privacy concerns, and potential integration challenges.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow implementations, and lead the collaboration with support teams to provide timely resolution to incidents and problems.
Lead the adherence to security best practices and ensure that the team understands and implements solutions that meet relevant compliance requirements.
Stay current with the latest trends, tools, and practices in the ServiceNow ecosystem, and lead personal and team development.
Lead the mentorship and guidance of junior developers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, best practice education, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Interact with executive stakeholders, explaining complex technical matters in a clear and non-technical manner, and mediate disagreements within the team and handle challenges that arise during projects.

Requirements

14+ years of experience implementing IT solutions with at least 4 years of ServiceNow solutions.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
Must have an Active Secret Clearance.
US Citizen due to federal contract requirements.
MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply.

Preferred Experience

Hands-on experience configuring or building 10 or more ServiceNow applications.
In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, modules, and best practices.
Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT Service Management (ITSM) principles.
In-depth knowledge of scripting languages, including JavaScript and GlideScript.
Strong technical skills, including workflow configuration, and business rule development.
Expertise in designing and implementing complex workflows.
The ability to independently create and manage integrations with external systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to innovate solutions.
Detail-oriented tendencies with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
The ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Understanding of performance optimization techniques.
