Job Title: Commercial Credit Risk Analyst

The Flagstar Bank is seeking a skilled Commercial Credit Risk Analyst to join its team. As a key member of the Commercial Credit Risk department, this role will play a vital part in supporting Portfolio Managers and Credit Officers in identifying credit risks and recommending appropriate loan structures.

Responsibilities:
  • Spreading financial statements and assessing client compliance with financial covenants
  • Complete analysis and review of new loan request packages to identify credit issues and recommend loan structure
  • Prepare periodic reviews and analysis of existing commercial relationships focusing on leverage, key risk factors, repayment sources, cash flow, and ability to service debt
  • Order due diligence reports as needed
  • Monitor and track financial reporting requirements
  • Assemble market/industry data into monthly reports for distribution to Credit staff
  • Create/Update procedures to assist with cross-training among business segments

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proactive and flexible with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills with ability to present clear recommendations based on analysis
  • Adhere to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job and the team

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
