We are seeking a motivated individual capable of overseeing multiple projects at different stages, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, quality standards, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

The Project Superintendent will be accountable for the daily management of construction activities, which includes:

  1. Managing all phases of construction projects ranging from $50K to $10M; maintaining regular communication with the Construction Project Manager through daily and weekly updates to report on project status and any issues that may arise.
  2. Reviewing contract documents and assisting in the preparation of the construction schedule, including generating a three-week look-ahead schedule for distribution to relevant stakeholders.
  3. Coordinating the procurement of necessary materials and equipment in compliance with company purchasing protocols.
  4. Ensuring the establishment of essential job site facilities such as temporary trailers, utilities, access roads, and storage areas.
  5. Implementing safety measures in accordance with OSHA guidelines, conducting weekly safety meetings, and ensuring compliance with the company's safety policies.
  6. Monitoring daily project costs and making necessary adjustments to stay within budget while reviewing contract documents for potential coordination issues.
  7. Conducting daily inspections of the project site to ensure quality, productivity, and safety standards are met.
  8. Facilitating weekly project meetings with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and suppliers to discuss progress and address any concerns.
  9. Maintaining accurate production and safety logs, and ensuring all necessary inspections and certifications are completed prior to project closeout.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. Previous experience as a Superintendent, with a strong track record of successful project management.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
  3. Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to supervise a diverse team.
  4. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  5. Basic computer proficiency and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
  6. Flexibility to work extended hours, averaging 50+ hours per week, as necessary.
Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

  1. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions regularly.
  2. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed.
  3. Perform physical activities such as standing, climbing, and bending on a daily basis.
  4. Adapt to rapidly changing priorities to meet project goals.
