Aircraft Inspector III Job Description

At StandardAero, we are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Inspector III to join our team. As an Aircraft Inspector III, you will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of aircraft by conducting thorough inspections and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections of aircraft systems, components, and structures to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company standards.
  • Determine the serviceability of aircraft systems, parts, and components using precision measuring guides, gauges, instruments, and non-destructive testing.
  • Accomplish preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspection of all articles repaired, maintained, inspected, or altered by the facility.
  • Comply with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Quality Procedures (QPs), and Local Work Instructions.
  • Provide procedural guidance to technicians and delegated inspectors, and train and assist them in proper work procedures and practices.
  • Monitor work in progress to ensure proper paperwork, procedures, techniques, and methods are used.
  • Document inspection results in inspection paperwork and log books, and ensure that work performed is accurately reflected on the work order.
  • Research logbooks, prepare logbook entries, and sign-offs for approval for Return to Service (RTS), and RTS any article that is maintained or altered by the facility.
Requirements:
  • High School degree or GED equivalent required.
  • A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate required.
  • 5 years experience as A&P Mechanic required with corporate aviation experience.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Must have the ability to think clearly, speak intelligibly on the telephone and in person.
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Must have 20/20 vision (corrected if necessary).
  • Must have good interpersonal and verbal skills in order to interface with customers and employees.
