Job Overview

KTA-Tator, Inc. is a leading materials engineering firm seeking a reliable and competent Concrete Inspector to join our team. As a QA Specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting the fabrication of precast concrete and reinforced concrete pipe throughout Pennsylvania and the New England area.

This is a full-time position that requires travel and the ability to work irregular or extended hours, including night shifts and weekends. We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • ACI Certified Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I or PCI Level II or III certification issued by the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect precast concrete and reinforced concrete pipe for quality and integrity.
  • Test fresh concrete for air content, slump, and temperature.
  • Prepare reports and communicate with construction teams.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Act with integrity and promote ethical practices.
  • Detail-oriented and able to ensure accurate paperwork.
  • Customer-oriented and able to develop healthy relationships with clients and contractors.
  • Good oral and written communication and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent work ethic, dependable, and punctual.
  • Reliable transportation and valid Driver's License.
  • Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word and Excel experience, ability to navigate the internet and email correspondence.

Physical Requirements:

  • Hearing, speaking, close, color, distance, depth vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to travel, when necessary, and ability to work outside (including inclement weather).
  • Walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, crouching, standing for extended periods of time, and working in confined spaces and on uneven terrain.
