Job Overview
The Healthcare Services Associate plays a crucial role in managing various specialized tasks associated with the receipt, understanding, and execution of patient dietary orders within healthcare facilities. This position serves as a vital link between patients, the Food and Nutrition Services Department, and Nursing Services.
COMPENSATION: The hourly wage for this role ranges from $14.40 to $16.00, influenced by factors such as the applicant's skills, qualifications, relevant degrees and certifications, previous experience, market trends, and other pertinent considerations. Additional earnings may include bonuses or commissions where applicable. This represents Aramark's reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position at the time of posting.
If selected, the employee will be in an 'at-will position,' and Aramark reserves the right to adjust base salary and any other discretionary compensation programs at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to individual performance, departmental performance, and market conditions.

Key Responsibilities
+ Deliver and retrieve patient meal trays during service hours. Ensure timely delivery of snacks and nourishment as prescribed by healthcare professionals. Engage with patients to introduce the Food and Nutrition Services Department's offerings.
+ Gather food preferences and dislikes from patients and/or their families.
+ Relay all patient dietary needs to the appropriate section of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
+ Ensure that nutrition care orders are communicated to patients by providing suitable menu options.
+ Uphold and comply with all sanitation standards by adhering to designated cleaning schedules. Complete additional sanitation tasks as directed by the Supervisor or Relief Supervisor.
+ Manage inventory and restock pantries, refrigerators, and freezers in assigned units.
+ Maintain temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
+ Understand therapeutic diets following established protocols and seek guidance from the Supervisor or Dietitian if discrepancies are noted.
+ Assist clinical staff in meeting all patients' fundamental nutritional care requirements.

Qualifications
+ Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English is required. Bilingual skills are preferred but not mandatory.
This position may involve physical demands, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may also be required.
