Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Managing a designated section of tables as assigned by management.
  • Collaborating with team members to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Maintaining thorough knowledge of the menu and service protocols.
  • Promoting and selling food and beverage items.
  • Accurately entering and processing guest orders using the point-of-sale system; handling various payment methods and providing change.
  • Engaging with guests in a friendly and efficient manner to ensure satisfaction and exceed expectations.
  • Completing assigned side work and ensuring cleanliness and operational efficiency in the restaurant.
  • Transporting trays with food and beverages.
  • Resetting tables for the next guests.
  • Checking guests' identification to verify legal drinking age and politely refusing service to underage individuals.
  • Monitoring guests' consumption of alcoholic beverages and offering assistance when necessary.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to grooming standards set by the company.
  • Exhibiting integrity and honesty in all job-related activities.
  • Performing additional duties as required.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
  • One or more years of experience in a full-service restaurant setting.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety protocols.
  • Ability to effectively suggest food and beverage items.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years of experience in a full-service restaurant setting.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical requirements for this position include standing for the duration of the shift, frequent reaching, bending, lifting, and carrying items. The role involves using hands for repetitive tasks and requires mobility throughout the establishment. Team members may need to lift trays weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally handle heavier items. Communication with guests and coworkers is essential. The work environment may include exposure to various hazards such as cuts, slips, and burns, as well as frequent contact with water and cleaning solutions. Noise levels can vary from moderate to loud.
