Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Certified Surgical Tech I follows established procedural guides in the preparation of sterile supplies and equipment used in the surgical procedures, performs appropriate room duties involved with direct patient care, and functions autonomously as a member of the operating room team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepares sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures
  • Performs room duties involved with direct patient care
  • Functions autonomously as a member of the operating room team
Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • Graduation from an accredited school of surgical technology or surgical technology military program
  • At least 6 months experience as a Certified Surgical Tech
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
  • Basic Life Support certification
