Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the operating room. This includes assisting the surgical team, maintaining a safe environment, and adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the surgical team in preparing patients for surgery
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment in the operating room
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective surgical procedures
  • Participate in the development and implementation of departmental goals and objectives

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an accredited program in surgical technology required
  • 1-2 years of experience in an operating room setting preferred
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred

Working Conditions

The Surgical Technologist works in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to blood and bodily fluids. The ability to maintain emotional control and function under stress is essential.
