Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

- Collaborates in the assessment and management of patient care.
- Maintains comprehensive medical records by documenting care delivery, conducting patient interviews, and recording medical and psychosocial histories.
- Under physician supervision, performs physical assessments and specialized diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, including wound care and suturing.
- Aids in the diagnosis of medical conditions, formulates care strategies, and prescribes appropriate treatments.
- Orders and interprets laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging such as urinalyses, blood tests, and x-rays.
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current licensure as an advanced practice nurse in Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing, and certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent, or certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Must be licensed as required in Georgia.
- At least one year of direct experience in high-acuity clinical settings may be necessary.
- BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications are mandatory; ACLS may be required in certain areas.

Physical Requirements: This role may involve medium to heavy lifting, with the potential to lift up to 75 lbs and carry objects weighing up to 35 lbs. Frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, and close visual work may be required. Physical demands can vary based on the assigned work area and tasks.
Environmental Factors: The work environment may include exposure to blood-borne pathogens, biohazardous materials, and various environmental conditions. Personal protective equipment may be necessary, and travel may be required depending on job responsibilities.
