Key Responsibilities- Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients with various oncological conditions.
- Document patient care in medical records, ensuring accurate and comprehensive information.
- Conduct patient interviews and document patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status, and medical problems or potential problems.
- Perform physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures under the direction of a physician.
- Assist physician in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment.
- Order, schedule, and/or perform laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures as necessary.
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current licensure as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia and certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Minimum one year of direct experience in a high acuity clinical specialty.
- BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications required; ACLS may be required in some areas.
